Incorporated in 1953, Tasman Leathers began as a family business. From our humble beginnings we have grown to become a valued supplier of leathers to leading manufacturers in many countries.

Our tannery is situated in the pretty north island city of Wanganui where the Wanganui river flows out into the Tasman Sea. Traditionally an area of agricultural production and servicing, Wanganui has developed in recent times into the knowledge based industries and with the expansion of a well respected technical and arts based college, is building a reputation as the hub of an expanding and innovative arts community.

From among our 200 loyal staff, we draw on expertise that includes information technology as well as traditional tanning skills. Our flexibility is such that we can meet the needs of boutique designers as well as large-scale manufacturers. Our ability to deliver is built on a tradition of craftsmanship, rigorous quality control, innovation and a spirit of partnership with our clients.
