Halfway up the North Island of New Zealand, where the Wanganui River flows out into the Tasman Sea, our family-founded company has been producing fine leathers since 1953.
The only finished leather tannery now left in New Zealand, the secret to our longevity is that of craftsmanship, improved by technology.

Ours is a 100% leather dedicated business. More than leather suppliers; Tasman is an end-to-end leather business, with more than 200 specialist staff, sourcing, processing and selling the broadest range of leathers for upholstery, footwear, accessories and the aviation and marine industries worldwide.

For inspiration we look to our unique and beautfiul natural environment, we also listen to our clients, working in partnership with them, visiting the world’s fashion and design centres to study fashion trends, attending trade fairs and monitoring industry publications.
