Consistent high-quality hides

Tasman has always enjoyed a head start in quality that is bestowed by nature.

From the North Island’s hills and valleys, to the South Island’s lush green plains – strong healthy pasture-grazed cattle thrive in New Zealand’s clean, unspoiled, uncrowded environment (that is quite possibly the best growing environment in the world). Consequently, New Zealand hides are known for their reliable high quality, with few blemishes, markings  or other inconsistencies.

ISO Accreditation

To enhance and ensure consistent quality, we maintain ISO 9002 accreditation and, as part of this, run an active in-house testing regime and computerised process control.

Industry research participants

To make us of the most up-to-date research and development, we share information with selected international chemical companies and actively participate in industry research associations, such as the Leather and Shoe Research Association (NZ).
